Our 13-day circular route through the Thar Desert will take us from Delhi to Jaipur, Pushkar, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Khuri, Bikaner, and Mandawa before heading back to Delhi. As you lay a thin ribbon of track through the silken sand that settles on the road, the soundtrack of the large single-cylinder Enfield becomes your perpetual accompaniment. A medieval fortress bathed in pink light appears on the horizon. A train of camels blocks our path for a time, but you won’t care.
