What To Expect

Riding over 18,000 foot / 5,500m mountain passes your thing? Then you’re in the right place. The superlative majesty of the Ladakh region, its glaciated peaks visible on every horizon, communicates a true sense of the scale of our planet and how humble our own small place within it actually is.

Covering up to 800 miles / 1,300km, we will commence in Leh and explore the awe-inspiring, cliff-hanging monasteries of the Buddhist faith. Along with that, we will navigate countless switchbacks over some of the highest road-going passes in the world and negotiate terrain as challenging and diverse as you are willing to endure.

Our expedition will cover the lush valleys of Lamayuru and Temisgam, the world’s highest motorable passes to Hunder and Summer, the Pakistani border town of Turtuk and the remote and pristine lakes of Tso Kar and Tso Moriri.

There is no avoiding a simple consequence of riding India’s “Top of the World”. Your mental and physical abilities will be challenged, but as a reward, you will leave with an experience that most will never even imagine.

Delhi - Leh - Lamayuru - Namra - Leh - Hunder - Sakti - Tso Moriri - Leh - Delhi

Before You Ride

You’ll need a few documents:
- Passport (with at least 6 months validity remaining)
- India Visa (eVisa or Stamped Visa)
- International Driving License (available from AAA in the US and Australia, CAA in Canada, PayPoint shops in the UK)
- International Health Insurance (purchased pre-departure, eg. Allianz, GeoBlue Travel Insurance)
